Red Biddy

... is featured on Wiktionary, but not on Wikipedia. Pressreader reproduces an article from the Irish Daily Mail, about the song Missing You, by the Irish singer and songwriter Christy Moore, which includes the line "Now I just drink red biddy for a permanent high". The same article mentions that Yate's Wine Lodge used to sell a drink of the same name which was a mixture of red wine and grape brandy.

The Merseyside Pub Guide blog also mentions red biddy being sold by Yates's, in an entry (from 2011) that opens by quoting a clue in the Times crossword: "Extremely cheap booze embarrassed old woman (3,5)."
